Victor Chavez (Salsa, Bachata, Cha-cha)

Victor Chavez is one of he most esteemed, gifted, and recognized talents in the northwest Salsa community today and is an internationally recognized performer, choreographer, and DJ. As  co-director of Somos el Son dance, a nationally and internationally recognized salsa performance team, Victor has represented Seattle at numerous Salsa Congresses, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland OR, New York, and Vancouver B.C.

Victor is passionate about teaching salsa and encourages students to speak up and ask questions. Victor ensures that the class is fun and full of laughter and creates an environment that allows students to forget about the worries of the day and just enjoy dancing in the moment.

 

Julia Krasnov (Salsa, Bachata, Cha-cha)

Julia Krasnov is a passionate dancer, instructor, and performance artist. Julia Began her dance and theater training at the young age of six. She has performed in numerous theater and TV productions and has an extensive background in various dance styles ranging from Ballet, Hip-hop, Belly Dance, Jazz, and Latin Ballroom including Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Cha-cha. Julia is a dancer in the nationally and internationally recognized salsa performance team ‘Somos el Son.’ In 2005 Julia partnered with Victor Chavez and together with ‘Somos el Son’ they have represented Seattle at numerous Salsa Congresses, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland OR, New York, and Vancouver B.C., etc.

 

Felix Chu (Bachata)


Felix Chu is one of the Salsa/Bachata enthusiasts in the Seattle Salsa/Bachata dance community. He had one year of hip hop experience and started dancing salsa in 2010. Later, he joined a local Bachata dance team in 2011 and started performing since. Now, he is currently a dance partner to one of the instructors from a local dance studio in Redmond. Felix has taught Salsa/Bachata as teaching assistant locally for a few months and recently taught at Seattle Salsa Congress 2012 and Reno Winter Bachata Festival 2013.

Whether it is swimming, computer programming, kung fu, or dancing, Felix has always enjoyed teaching and sharing his knowledge. Now he is ready to share his knowledge and passion about how fun Salsa/Bachata can be for everybody.

 

 

 

 

Ben White (Swing)

Ben White has been addicted to all things swing since 2004. He has studied under masters from the original swing era and worked with world class contemporary swing dancers. Ben specializes in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Bal-Swing, Collegiate Shag, Tap, and Vernacular Solo Jazz dance. Recent accomplishments include taking first place at the Killer Diller weekend Jack and Jill in Seattle and placing in the Solo Jazz and in the Jack and Jill contests at Inspiration Weekend in Orange, CA.  Ben is known for his clear instruction and ability to break down and communicate technique while keeping classes entertaining and fun. He is very excited to start teaching at Salsa N’ Seattle Dance Studio.

 

 

 

Michelle Badion (Argentine Tango)


Michelle Badion has been teaching partner dancing full time in the Seattle Area since 1989. She loves to dance, perform and most of all to teach. She has a way of making
dancing fun and easy for everyone. Michelle specializes in Argentine Tango, Salsa, and West Coast Swing, but she also enjoys teaching Waltz, East Coast Swing, Country
2-Step, Night Club 2-step, Cumbia, Bachata and Cha Cha.

 

 

 

 

 

Reinier Valdes 

Reinier Valdes was born in Habana, Cuba. He first started dancing to the Afro Cuban rhythms at a young age of 13. Reinier got immediately discovered by a professional Afro Cuban dance team who recruited his talent and showcased him all over Cuba.  At age 18 he graduated from the Cuban school of dance as a dance instructor specializing in Latin rhythms, such as Cuban Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Rumba. In February of 2009 Reinier relocated to Brazil where he continued his work as a dancer, performer, and choreographer. He started his own performance group touring and performing Brazil. Reinier now lives in Seattle, WA and is very excited to continue his work here and share his talent and passion for the Afro Cuban rhythms through dance classes, workshops, and performances.

 

 

Ceary “Cece” Simms (Zumba)

Ceary “Cece” Simms is a Seattle- born artist that has been dancing, acting, singing, and performing since she was three years old. She has studied dance programs such as: Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip-Hop, and Salsa. After a few years and time off from dancing and performing, Ceary began to gain weight from what she likes to call: eating her feelings. Eating food for comfort and making poor choices in her diet, she noticed she needed to change if she wanted to be healthy. In May of 2010 Ceary tipped the scale at 210 pounds and attended her first Zumba class. Since, she has not stopped moving and shaking as she has danced of 50 pounds and has rediscovered her passion for music and dance. Zumba had changed her life! Ceary became a licensed Zumba instructor in March 2011 and invite you all to come and party with her. Take a class with Miss Sassy Cece and you will FEEL the energy and experience the FUN!

 

 Emi Matsushita (Hip Hop & Zumba)

Emi specializes in hip-hop and zumba. Dance has always been a part of Emi’s life. It was in high school where she learned technique and form and was able to perfect it in college.  Ever since her experience in college, she has strived to keep dance active in her life. It is not just a means to keep her body strong and her mind alive, but it is a way to express who she is. Through dance, she intends for her students to experience that joy as well. She hopes that others can find freedom in dance to be who they already are and with a booming confidence.

 

 

 

Henrylyn Kau’i Auwae (Hot Hula Fitness)

Henrylyn Kau’i Auwae, born and raised on the magnificent island of Hawai’i, began dancing hula, tahitian, and other Polynesian dances at the early age of 3 and continues to this day. She left the islands in 2003 for the mainland and has shared her passion for her culture and love for her heritage through her knowledge of Hula. Having danced hula for world renowned Kumu Hula (hula masters), she has the experience and knowledge needed to share the beauty of hula. After joining a local area gym Kau’i began attending Zumba, Turbo Kick, Hip Hop Hustle, and Yoga classes and in January 2011 she stumbled upon a HOT HULA fitness® class. In May 2011 she officially became a certified HOT HULA fitness instructor beginning her journey with HOT HULA fitness®. January 2012 was another big move as Kau’i and her family relocated to Seattle WA. Upon settling here HOT HULA fitness® appointed Kau’i HOT HULA fitness® Washington Area Manager.

 

 

Cecilia Koschorreck (Zumba)

Cecilia is a mother of two with a life long passion for dancing. Her husband surprised her with a
workshop to become a licensed instructor in 2009 and in 2011 he became an instructor himself! Since then, they have been teaching as a family with their two children. It is truly an experience to take their class.

What Cecilia loves most about Zumba is that anybody can do it! You don’t have to be a dancer to do follow a Zumba fitness routine, all you have to do is get up and start moving. The Zumba music will inspire you!

 

 

 

Corinne-Marie Roberts (ZumbaTomic) -picture coming Soon

Corinne-Marie’s passion for the performing arts and fitness has spanned for more than a decade in the public eye across the globe. she was born in Dhahran (Aramco), Saudi Arabia, where she found her passion and confidence in the performing arts. After moving to the US and taking Zumba classes for two years, she had witnessed something magical. People coming together and being themselves! She decided to become a Zumba instructor and got certified . Once she started teaching she found the same magic carried into her classes because her clients had found the courage to be themselves.
